The Things I'd Never Reveal...

20 Things About Me...

1.) I'm extremely complicated. I don't think there has ever been a person that has fully understood what I do or why I do it. I don't like it but that's how it is...

2.) I'm afraid of people seeing my insecurities. I prefer putting on a front so you never truly know what's going on with me. I'm so used to doing that it's hard to distinguish what's reality sometimes for me.

3.) I LOVE Coldplay and Paramore. Eff you if you don't. Truly you're missing out

4.) Music is my life. Most people will say it.. I MEAN it.

5.) I don't like people that think they know everything or that they are better than anyone else. It pisses me off

6.) Sometimes I wish I could fast forward into the future and see how it works out.

7.) I need to get big. There's no other way.

8.) I'm actually really insecure around cute girls I don't know. After meeting them I'll cool down.. and probably make out with them. Jk, Jk.

9.) I'm actually not as free-wheeling as people think. I just learned a hard lesson when I was 100% faithful to a girl I was hooking up with and it turns out while I was being faithful she was fucking one of my best friends. Oops. Girls can't be trusted. I guess there are no rules.. Either that or she had no couth.

10.) I long for a REAL relationship but I always get caught up between music and girls. It's partly my fault but I'd also like to find someone who understands where my heart lies. Until then, no falling in love for me

11.) Thinking about it.. I don't want anyone to figure me out. I love being illusive.

12.) Girls always say, "Tell me what's going on with you Jon. What's wrong?" So this one time I told what was going on and it just made it weird. I'd rather just keep it to myself from now on thanks!

13.) There are 3 girls that make up the trifecta of my discontent. No names but to one of them I'm sad I lost you, to the second, I'm sad I hurt you and to the third I wish I had you.

14.) No disrespect to any future or present girls but you will always be compared to them in my mind.

15.) My mom now knows I smoke herb and I lost my virginity.

16.) I can honestly say I joined Myspace, Twitter, Facebook etc. because I wanted to not because everyone else was doing it

17.) Music is like heaven to me

18.) I want to travel the globe

19.)  I'm conscious about what people think of me. No matter what I say.

20.) There are certain things I need to have perfect. Such as my iTunes. Artist names, songs, albums, album covers and genres or else it will drive me crazy. I also can't have too many text messages on my phone. I feel like it's too messy and I won't be able to concentrate.

Why We Love John Mayer

As if his music wasn't good enough he also is HILARIOUS.

Here are some of my favorite John Mayer moments:

Video #1: John Mayer & Kanye West Record "Bittersweet"

Amazing right?

"Go back and listen to Daughters... bitches." - John Mayer

And now,

Video #2: John Mayer's Next Foray Into Hip Hop Music.

"I like sex.. I'm good at it" - John Mayer

And the best part of it.. That beat was actually DOPE! Lol

Till next time folks!!!

Nah... Eff That. Don't Get Them Unless You Mean It..

Hip Hop star Pharrell Williams (from N.E.R.D) looks like he had a change of heart regarding his tattoo's and recently posted some photos of him getting them removed.

Like they say, tattoo's, though able to come off, are alot harder and alot more expensive getting off than they are getting on. As for the reason Pharrell decided he wanted them gone I am unsure of but whatever it is it doesn't look like a very fun process.

Below is a video of a removal from some guy on YouTube. The related videos are just as painful. I actually really like tattoos so my advice to those thinking of getting them, make sure you know you want them for sure before you do!

Mos Def Covers Kanye West's "Say You Will" LIVE

"The Mighty" Mos Def covers Kanye West's single "Say You Will" live at his show at the Blue Note. From the recording it sounds like he's just chillin' in front of his crowd enjoying himself, doing what Mos does best - making good ass music. The audio is below for ya'll to listen to. Honestly nothing special but cool nonetheless.. Maybe I'll be able to find some video of the show soon.

In other news, Mos Def's new album "The Ecstatic" will hopefully be dropped sometime in June.

Ey.. Kanye My Nigga But He Like Fishdicks..

I think people are WAY past the initial Kanye hating and are now just in a lull until they find the NEXT thing to hate on. Unless they are talking about Kanye being a Gay Fish which was just damn funny. If you haven't seen that episode of South Park here it is

SOUTH PARK: GAY FISH EPISODE (FEAT. KANYE WEST)

Anyway, just recently an unofficial music video by Mill Miller was posted to the internet using Kanye's song "Street Lights" from his album "808's And Heartbreak". For those who discussed the album with me you'd know I REALLY love that song and the video fits the tone and emotion of the song really well.

Soooo, I wanted to post the video for you guys to check out, I hope you enjoy it!

Ugh... FML.

Sometimes it's good to have things that remind us other people's lives are just as shitty/shittier than ours. I stumbled across FMyLife.com through some friends and instantly fell in love with it!

The concept of the blog site is for people to post their embarrassing stories covering such topics as Life, Love, Work, Sex, Friendships etc.

I've visited the site a couple of times and got some really good laughs from such stories as the ones below..

(sorry if they are too small to read - You might be able to click for larger photos?..)

If you want to check out the site, or post your own FML's you can visit the site at http://www.fmylife.com/

When The Sun Rises... She Watches Over Me..

So... who out there knows about The Foreign Exchange?

For those of you who are un-educated, "The Foreign Exchange" is the Hip Hop/Soul music project from "Little Brother" Emcee Phonte & Dutch Producer Nicolay. The producer/Emcee duo began talking over Okayplayer.com's message boards and began recording together by sending tracks back and forth without ever meeting in person, hence the name "Foreign Exchange". Their first album, "Connected" was received VERY well by critics and fans alike and has since been regarded as a classic Alternative Hip Hop album.

After the success of their first album, "The Foreign Exchange" released their second album "Leave It All Behind" in 2008. This album too was received very well, noted not only for it's sound but also it's notable differences from the first album.

A couple of weeks ago, "The Foreign Exchange" released a video for their single from the second album titled "Take Off The Blues". Here it is for you to enjoy!

Also be sure to check out more music from THE FOREIGN EXCHANGE on their Myspace Music page! www.myspace.com/theforeignexchange

Some Creative Title...

Hey foolio's!!!

So I've decided to venture out and work on my own blog! I hope to create an atmosphere that is 100% the Jon Shockness/ Rhias experience so if you don't know me yet... here's your chance!

My plan and idea for this blog is basically to drop you guys stuff that I dig so that hopefully you can dig the shittt too!!!! I plan to talk about music, food, movies, life, girls, music... movies... food....girls...life. Etc. If you can't dig that... EFF' YOU leave my spot!

For those that know me Music is such a big part of/is my life! A large part of the music sections will probably consist of Hip Hop music, bitching about Rap music, Coldplay's music, Paramore's music and some dope ass local or unsigned artists. Purely based off the reason I love dem' things.

As far as Food goes, this might be a little more slim of a section but boy do I love a good cooked meal. If I spot some bomb ass recipes or something I might give you the heads up on em!

Movies will most likely be right up there with music when it comes to amount of blogging cause I love a good movie

and lastly,

Girls will PROBABLY be a big topic as well but I mean... what else is new??

I hope to have some great stuff up for you guys soon!!! Thanks for stopping by!
